Blade of Fire are F1 in Schools Champions 2006

Congratulations to all the teams who competed yesterday in the 2006 F1 in Schools Final. Seventeen teams from twelve schools in twelve counties competed for the grand prize of €5000 of milling or IT equipment sponsored by the Irish Computer Society, and a trip to the Honda F1 Racing headquarters in the UK.

The standard of entry was incredible. Teams were judged on their design portfolio, a verbal presentation and the speed of their car. Overall winner was "Blade of Fire" from St. Ailbe's School in Tipperary.
