Participation numbers surge for schools tech challenge
A wave of excitement is spreading in classrooms across Ireland as schools rev up for regional finals of the F1 in Schools Technology Challenge. 150 teams representing 110 schools across 22 counties are putting the final touches to their model Formula One racers ahead of regional finals of the competition starting later this month.

F1 in Schools is a competition for secondary schools to design and manufacture CO2-powered racing cars. Student teams will compete against each other to determine the best-engineered and fastest car in Ireland.
