Griffith College Dublin (April 2010)Govannon Racing from Dundalk Grammar School were declared overall winners of the 2010 F1 in Schools Technology Challenge at Griffith College Dublin on 29 April.
Work for the 2010 finals commenced last September. Intense competition followed with 600 students representing 150 second-level schools from 22 counties battling their way through regional finals. Check out our collection of photographs.

London (September 2009)Koni Kats from St. Davids Secondary School in Greystones, Co. Wicklow were crowned F1 in Schools World Champions after a tough three days of completion in London on 15- 7th September 2009.
Thirty one teams from over 20 countries worldwide competed, but Koni Kats were the ones to take home the Bernie Ecclestone World Championship Trophy. Check out our collection of photographs.

Brackley, UK (May 2008)2008 championship winners Koni Cats enjoyed their visit to the Honda F1 Racing HQ in the UK. As you can see from the pics the lads had a tour of the factory and an exclusive 20-minute chat with Honda's aero dynamist on the different aspects of their car.

Engineering Technology Teachers' AssociationF1 in Schools played an active role in the 2007 National Conference of the Engineering Techonology Teachers' Association at the Mullingar Park Hotel, Westmeath on 23-24 November 2007. Ms Gillian Farrar, Project Manager of F1 in Schools, delivered a presentation on the Challenge to teachers and guests at the conference dinner. Teachers then had the opportunity to battle it out for Honda prizes at the F1 in Schools Teachers’ Challenge.

Department of Education & Science (October 2007)The Minister for Education and Science, Mary Hanafin TD, met with students from St Aidan's CBS Whitehall and Scoil Iosagain Stillorgan, to officially launch the new season of the F1 in Schools Technology Challenge. Also attending the launch were Frank Kennedy of Universal Honda, Jim Friars of the Irish Computer Society and Peter Brabazon of Discover Science & Engineering.

Minister's support for educative, fun initiative (Sept 2006)Winners of the 2006 F1 in Schools 2006 National Championship, Team Blade of Fire from St Ailbe's School, Tipperary, received the opportunity to meet Minister for Trade Enterprise and Employment, Micheal Martin, TD, on 20 September 2006.
The occasion was the official launch of the F1 in Schools 2006-07 Championship Season. The winning Blade of Fire team consisted of Stephen Quinn, Anthony Power, Siobhan Daly, Stephanie Tracey, and Pat Noonan.

Prize-winning team's amazing day out (Sept 2006) In addition to the €5,000 of IT equipment awarded for their school, 2006 champions Blade of Fire from St Ailbe's School, Tipperary, also won a trip to the Honda F1 Team Operation Centre in UK. Take a peek our 16-photo collection of this exciting trip. Among the highlights of the day was the sight of engineers putting together the Honda F1 Grand Prix car for the next day's Chinese Grand Prix.
