F1 in Schools Ireland provides free 3D Printing and CNC Manufacturing of car components for all registered teams. This service is provided in advance of Regional and National finals. For more details on how this service is operated, see below.
F1 in Schools Ireland has agreed a manufacturing partnership for participating teams for the 2022/23 season. A manufacturing service is provided for teams who do not have access to the necessary CNC milling machines or 3D printers. This service will be provided free of charge to all registered teams.
Each registered team will be entitled to request the following per race event:
1 x CNC Machined Car Body
2 x 3D Printed Front Wing and Support Structure
2 x 3D Printed Rear Wing and Support Structure
4 x 3D Printed Wheels
2 x 3D Printed Wheel Support Structure
Additional 3D printed parts can ordered for an additional fee.
The deadline for submission of car files for the Regional Finals (in .STL or .STEP format) will be in late January 2021. More details will be provided in the Welcome Pack issued to registered teams.
