World Finals

Winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place awards at the Irish National Finals will be given the opportunity to represent Ireland at the World Finals. The 4th placed team will be given the chance to form a collaboration team with another National Finals winner from another competing country.

The F1 in Schools World Finals usually take place at the end of the F1 calendar, and is run in conjunction with a Formula 1 Grand Prix. Past events have taken in place in Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Texas and Malaysia. More information can be found on the F1 in Schools Global website - www.f1inschools.com.

The 2020/21 F1 in Schools World Finals is due to take place in the United Kingdom. This is subject to change due to COVID-19 restrictions. No details of the location of the 2022 event have been announced to date.

At the World Finals, students will have the chance to:

  • Travel to a Formula One Grand Prix event as Guests of Honour

  • Network and meet with Formula One drivers and engineers

  • Get a pit lane tour and experience the F1 Paddock

  • Win a place on the coveted Williams F1 Engineering Academy

  • Win a scholarship to study Motorsports Engineering at University College London

  • Win the F1 in Schools World Champions Perpetual Trophy
